Being Active Ideas
Being active doesn’t just mean playing a team sport. There are free and easy ways to get moving and be active at home. Here are a
few ideas to get you started:
1. Go for a walk
2. Go bike riding
3. Play with a Frisbee
4. Walk the dog
5. Kick a ball
6. Play with a Hacky Sack
7. Build an obstacle course (at home or at a park)
8. Join a sports club
9. Swim at the local pool
10. Play hopscotch
11. Skip with a skipping rope
12. Dance to your favourite music
13. Put a basketball hoop up in your yard
14. Play tennis with a friend or against a wall
15. Do the house work
16. Do some gardening at home or at a community garden
17. Dig out your hula-hoop and twist to some music
