About Us

Welcome to the Healthy Families in Monash Website.

It’s important for children to learn good eating habits at an early age as these behaviours can shape their health and lifestyle later on in life. The Healthy Families in Monash website offers parents a comprehensive guide to healthy eating and being active.

The Greater Monash GP Network (GMGPN) has been funded by the Department of Health and Ageing to conduct a pilot project titled Healthy Families in Monash. The project is funded by a Healthy Active Australia Community and Schools Grant.

The objective of the project is to assist parents to provide a healthy and active lifestyle for their children. An integral part of the project is a website which is available to all parents of primary school aged children in the City of Monash.

Parents of five local schools are invited to attend free workshops, providing practical and reliable information facilitated by local dietitians from Monashlink Community Health Service.

Ask an expert
Parents from all schools are able to email our dietitians or a doctor about healthy eating or physical activity for your family.
